  Reward and Incentive Campaigns

 

 


The questions is … Why use incentive programs as a part of your employee wellness program?  Incentive campaigns seek to help your worksite health promotion program lower organizational healthcare costs, increase productivity, and improve employee morale.  Here are a few reward and incentive campaign facts that improve the health and well-being of each associate:

Fact #1:  Health and wellness behavior is very hard to change.   Using incentives to encourage behavior change is intended to act as an additional inducement to help people initiate and maintain health related behaviors.

Fact #2  Incentive campaigns complement different aspects of a customized corporate wellness program.  In the end, you receive more bang for your wellness buck.

Fact #3:  Incentive campaigns engage the associates on the level of their need through interactive programs as well as reward and recognition development. 

Fact #4:  Associates become a part of the solution as they explore new challenges and additional resources that are provided.

Fact #5:  Education, education, education is the golden nugget to empower workplace wellness for the long term.  Empowering associates with knowledge in self help measures increases the potential to lower health claims and prescription drug cost.

Maintaining balance between career and personal obligations is a struggle each day for many of us.  Associates make difficult choices that ultimately effect their workplace productivity and efficiency in regards to areas of work/life balance.  This campaign will strategically explore methods in creating more balance and harmony to help associates remain effective in the work place.

Get Moving
Physical inactivity has been established as a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and cholesterol.  25% of all adults are not physically active at all, and 60% don’t get the recommended amount of activity. (Source: CDC & A Report of the Surgeon General. Physical Activity and Health At-A-Glance 1996.)  Through this campaign, associates will become educated on the how’s and why’s of becoming physically active as well as establish a customized incentive walking program.

Unlocking Food Mystery’s
Did you know that the average American consumes more than 54.5 gallons of soft drinks every year?!  Only 9 percent of Americans eat the daily recommended servings of fruits and vegetables?  Every year, 200,000 Americans will die from cancer related to poor diet alone.  Eating healthy is the goal!  This campaign will educate your associates by unlocking food mysteries and following healthy eating habits.

Healthy Holidays
Holiday stress can take us off track towards our health and fitness goals let alone keep us focused.  How can associates enjoy the holidays, stay healthy, and create balance? This campaign will help them prepare for the holidays and limit the stress of the season.
